Luminarc's Dinner
Series with a group of select few food bloggers. |
The Luminarc
Philippines sponsored another night of gathering with fine food entitled Dinner
Series in Cafe 1771, which was a celebration of home-cooked meals made best with Luminarc's fine and durable
dinnerware and cooking ware. This time, the invited diners are select food bloggers from different places in Metro Manila.
The gathering was hosted by chef Nina Daza-Puyat, one of the country's top culinary personalities and the editor-in-chief of the Appetite Magazine. We were lucky to be among the invited few Metro Manila-based food bloggers to join her sharing intimate dinner together.
Also with her as hosts are Margaret Tieng, the Marketing Manager of KLG International Inc., and Jay Oliver Dy, the Country Manager of Luminarc Philippines.
The Cafe 1771 is in the second floor of this El Pueblo Real de Manila building along Julia Vargas corner ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. |
The event was held at the Cafe 1771 in El Pueblo Real de Manila. It was an enjoyable get-together experience of conversation, merriment, and sharing the following good food:
Valle Verde Soup |
A serving of carved Corned Beef Brisket |
Corned Beef Brisket |
Salt-crusted fish with bean, thyme, and extra virgin olive oil |
Farfalle and Grilled Vegetable Salad with Italian dressing |
Bread and Butter Pudding |
We had a lively conversation that evening, mostly sharing the good experience with the Luminarc's featured new collection of Vitro cookwares - the LUMINARC VITRO most versatile cookware. The highly tempered glass cookware is so versatile that you can use it in baking, in microwave, as freezer food container, on fire or conduction heat stove, and as table serving dish.
The food bloggers evening of Dinner Series |
Luminarcs dining wares are almost unbreakable. The glass was even used to hammer down a nail on wood. The white tempered plate remained unbroken after several tests of dropping big metallic ball bearings on it.
You can treasure these high impact resistant dining ware as something that your family can pass on as puwedeng ipamana to the family's next gerenation.

Later that evening, I recalled how I was convinced to buy my first Luminarc plate. It was the rectangular sweet line black dinner plate (similar to the serving dish used for the salt-crusted fish, above). The sales attendant in the department store tossed the plate freely in the air that it landed squarely on the concrete floor. It just bounced and remained in one piece. I was so amazed that I bought that plate right away.
